Katherine's obituary was published on the Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home, Inc. website. This is a portion of that obituary.
Katherine was born in Rochester, NY on February 21, 1943. As a kid, she enjoyed fishing with her father John. She attended Monroe High School and liked cooking for her family, roller skating, and even won dancing contests with her brother Keith.
At the Friendship Bar, Katherine met her future husband, David. They were married at home on June 19, 1981 and remained in Rochester to raise their family. Over the years, Katherine worked as an insurance claims adjuster, Army recruiting secretary, and a home health aide.
In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling all over NY state, California and New Orleans. She also enjoyed crafting and spending time at the casinos. Katherine was a movie buff who collected movie tapes and family movies. On Sundays, she liked to listen to the American Top 40 on the radio. Her favorite type of music was country and jazz. Katherine was a very good singer who liked Elvis, Frank Sinatra, and Jerry Lewis.
Family and friends would best describe Katherine as someone who was full of life, curious, spoke her mind, outgoing, social, friendly, and was a practical joker with a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
