Longtime Waurika resident & WWII Veteran, Quentin Reid, 78, d. Mon., Mar. 30, at Jefferson Co., Hospital from Parkinson's disease. Services were held Wed. at the First Methodist Church, Rev. Richard Eckels, pastor of the church, & Henry Reid officiating. Burial was in Waurika Perpetual Care Cem. Born Sep. 3. 1919, Caney, OK he attended school in Waurika, graduating in 1938. During WWII he was a pilot in the Army Air Force. He married Loreta (Leath) Feb. 21, 1948 in Wichita, KS. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert J. Reid a grandson, Donnie Elrod, & a brother. Survivors include 4 daus., Susan Holthouser, Statesville, NC, Cindy Shae, Dallas, TX., Faye Elrod, Grandfield & Gean Vargas of Dewey; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grchildren, a gr-gr-grdchild, one brother & 6 sisters.
