Alfred was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Evangeline (Dey) Tienken.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, the former Frances Pullano; son, A. Gregory Tienken II of Baldwinsville; daughters, Cynthia L. Grupe of Coxsackie and Geraldine A. (Dwayne) Belt of Potsdam; sister-in-law, Louise R. Beaubiah of Ocala, FL; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, May 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Alfred will be laid to rest in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fairmount Volunteer Exempt Firemen's Benevolent Assn., 4611 W. Genesee St., Syracuse, NY 13219 or to one's favorite charity.
