Mrs. Clemens was born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and lived for many years in Dalton and Pittsfield before relocating to Clifton Park, New York with her husband and daughters.
As a young woman, Joan was employed at the Boys Club of Pittsfield, General Electric Ordinance Division and the Parks Department of Pittsfield.
There, she orchestrated memories in all seasons from Winter Carnivals to summer events in the city parks.
Joans true devotions were her enduring faith and dedication to family. Friday nights became weekly holidays as the family gathered at Nana & Poppys for dinner and a visit.
Joan was a fixture in the lives of each of her grandchildren, taking every opportunity to tell them that she loved them and was proud of them. Joan celebrated each family milestone with sincere joy. She was a gracious woman in every sense and generously shared her many gifts.
Joan was predeceased by her parents Fred and Mary Fahey and her husband of 52 years, Richard J. Clemens.
She is survived by her daughters Mary K. Blaauboer, her husband Jim and their children James R. and Mary G. Blaauboer; and Ann M. Rocha, her husband Joe and their daughter Emily M. Rocha; all of Clifton Park, New York.
Interment will be private at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
