Richard L. 'Dick' Toner April 27, 1937 - November 9, 2012 Richard L. "Dick" Toner, 75, of Mingoville, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Lock Haven on April 27, 1937, the son of the late Russell W. and Goldie Margaret Toner. His wife, the former Sally A. Billett Toner, survives at home. They were married May 28, 1958. Dick was a high lift operator in the Trim Department at Cerro Metal Products before his retirement. He was of the Protestant faith He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Bellefonte American Legion Post 33, enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, camping and PSU sports. Also surviving are two daughters, Pamela S. Toner, of Milesburg, and Kimberly A. (Bryan) Swistock, of Howard; a son, Ricky L. (Betsy) Toner, of Beech Creek; a sister, Delores Carlson, of Kingston, Wash.; a brother, Russell Toner, of Linden; four grandchildren, Melissa (Christopher) Mortensen, Nicole (Justin) Ingram, Ashley (Andrew) Waters and Derek Ripka; three great-grandchildren and one on the way. Dick is also survived by a close nephew, Melvin P. (Barb) Harter, of Bellefonte, and his faithful companion, Yukon, his Boston Terrier. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Redon and Mildred Miller, and a brother, Samuel Toner. Funeral services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Esophageal Cancer Action Network at ECAN, P.O.
