Barbara J. (Cada) Beech, 74, of Chardon Township, passed away April 18, 2011, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born Oct. 6, 1936, in Chardon Township, she had been a lifelong Chardon Township area resident.
Mrs. Beech had worked as an office manager of the former American Roller in Newbury Township for 15 years, retiring in 1999.

Barbara Jean Cada married Robert Beech May 3, 1958, in Kirtland. Mrs. Beech was an avid gardener, doing puzzles, crossword puzzles and enjoyed gambling. She had a wide collection of purses, all shapes and sizes. After her retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling. Her greatest joy was cooking and enjoying holidays with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors are her husband, Robert Beech of Chardon Township; daughters, Cynthia (Robert) Hantak of Chardon, Lori Hurley of Chardon and Marianne (Timothy) Parker of Chardon; grandchildren, Cheryl Lynn Bergenstein, Lindsay Marie Hantak, Michelle Rae Hantak and Timothy John Parker Jr.; and sister, Virginia Dill of Chardon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary (Skirpan) Cada.

Funeral services will be held noon Thursday, April 21, 2011, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street (Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon. The Rev. Henry Woodruff, PhD, retired will officiate.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Larned Cemetery in Chardon Township.
