She loved the outdoors, flowers, gardening, camping and cooking. Harriet was an avid reader and knitted afghans for many family members. In addition to Harriet's husband, Jamie Smith of Yreka, survivors include daughter and son-in-law Susan and Darrel Fincher of Homer, Alaska; a sister, Frances Attebery Head of Happy Camp; granddaughter and her husband, Amy and Lyle Sauget; great-grandson, Aron Jamie Sauget; nephew, Thomas Head; a great niece, Elkie Head; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Inurnment will be in the Happy Camp Cemetery in Happy Camp. Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Superior California, 2732 Cohasset Road, Chico, CA 95962 or to the charity of one's choice. Girdner Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
