Harriet died Tuesday, May 4, following three weeks' struggle after a series of strokes. A wake will be held at Swan-Law Funeral Home from 3:00 to 6:00 on Sunday, May 9. The funeral will be from Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, May 10, with burial among the trees in Evergreen Cemetery.
Harriet was born on Sept 29, 1946, to Ted Mundon (deceased) and Ardys Ellerbach (Sherrill, IA), in rural Platteville, WI. She graduated from Platteville High School and worked in Dubuque, Iowa.
She married John J. Gebhart (Loras, 1968, UCCS, 1994) on August 23, 1969, and they moved to Colorado Springs, where they stayed for the rest of her life. Daughter, Michelle (UCCS, 1995), of Parker, CO, was born in December, 1971, and married husband Keven Winters (UCCS, 1996, DU College of Law and Business, 2002) on July 5, 1997. Son John M. (CSU, 2000) was born June, 1978, and now resides in San Diego, CA.
She is survived by sisters Lila Salwey of Rushford, MN, and Rose Weber of Madison, WI. For 34 years, she worked as a computer operator at the International Typographical Union Pension Plan.
