Edgar (Eddy, Ed) Dean Allen was born May 19, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Edgar and Josephine Allen. He graduated from Brighton High school with a baseball scholarship from the University of Utah. He joined the Armed forces from 1970-1976. He loved fishing, weight lifting, country music, and going up on the mountain with his good friend Leon.
He passed away in his home May 18, 2018 after a long fight with many illnesses. We would like to give a big thank you to his amazing friends Leon and Sandra Sidwell, they went above and beyond to help our father, and we appreciate them more than words can describe.
He is survived by his mother Josephine Allen; Sister, Anne Mercer; Brother Randy Allen; Children, Amy Stauffer, Dustin Allen, Ashley Ross (Chris), Blakeley Carter (Andrew), Brittany Boring, Marcus Allen, and his 11 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Edgar Allen, and his brother Mitchell Allen.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Mount Pleasant City Park- East Pavillion-1000 S. state, Mount Pleasant, Ut. 84647 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. an account for donations has been set up in his name at the Cache Valley Bank as well as a GoFundMe page, https://www.gofundme.com/funeral-services-for-ed-allen
