Sherry Davis Pyles, age 54, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away at 11:29 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin following a lengthy illness.

Sherry resided in the Webb City area all her life. She was employed with LeBarge Inc. in Joplin for 23 years, retiring in 2005. She was a 1970 graduate of Webb City High School. She was a member of the Teamster's Union Local No. 823 and the Webb City Church of the Nazarene.

She was preceded in death by her father, Archie R. Davis; her stepfather, Ed Allen; and two stepsisters, Janice Kay Smith and Gwendolyn Sue Allen.

Survivors include two daughters, Brandy Pyles, Webb City, and Haley Robertson and husband, Kirk, Carl Junction, Mo.; her mother, Bonnie Allen, Webb City; one sister, Linda Allison and husband, Larry, Joplin; and six grandchildren. She loved her family, especially her pet cat.

Services were held at the Hedge-Lewis Chapel with Pastor Stephen Smitley officiating. Pallbearers were Kirk Robertson, Jerry Bonjour, Paul Tappana, Neil Tappana, Eric Edwards and Dean Edwards.

Memorial contributions are requested to the Relay For Life in care of the funeral home.
