Mrs. Edith Payne Hale, age 68 of Route 3, died Friday, April 24, 1992 in a Roanoke hospital. Surviving are her husband, Ralph W. Hale; two sons and daughters-in-law, William P. and Pamela Hale of Rocky Mount; Michael Lee and Frances Hale of Millsboro, Delaware; two grandsons, Bryan C. Hale, Rocky Mount; Warren P. Hale, Grand Rapids, Mich.; three sisters, Ola Stone, Roanoke; Helen Benois and Deta Hylton, Boones Mill; one stepgranddaughter, two stepgrandsons, one great-grandson and two stepgreat-granddaughters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday from Lynch Chapel with Dr. Joe R. Bryant and Rev. James H. Steele officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount after 4:00 p.m. Saturday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
