Anna Morgan Trainor "Ma", age 86, of Madison TN passed away on Friday June 1, 2018.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Coletta Paridon; two brothers Charles Paridon and Skip Paridon, and two sisters Regina Jung and Mary Allen.

She is survived by her children, son, Marty Morgan and her daughters Candy Morgan, Beth Morgan (Myles Baldwin), Liana Baltz (Billy) and Lorrie Morgan (Randy White); four sisters, Kate Humbert, Rosella Coen (Joe), Barbara Sungy (Sonny), Phil Holvey (Dave); grandchildren, Jeremy (Krisi), Wendy (Mark), Rachel, Zachary, Aaron (Stefanie), Morgan (Justin), Nathan (Hailey), Jesse, Ellis, Sarah; great grandchildren, Hunter (Brandi), Emily, Gus, Jared, Gracyn, Kadyn, Jackson, Preston, Henry, Tuff, Emmylou, Magnolia Mae, Parker, Laney and Nathan McRae; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anna was a devout Catholic dedicated to both her faith and her family. She was a mother and a homemaker, raised as a farm girl in a large family of nine siblings in the small village of Doylestown, Ohio. Her small-town roots and deep sense of faith and family were evident throughout her life.

Upon marrying country music recording artist George Morgan (of Candy Kisses fame) at the age of 18, she moved to Nashville in 1949 with George to begin a family, raising 5 children and devoting her life to being the wife of a traveling entertainer and the mother of five. When not busy cooking, cleaning, and hosting family events, Anna enjoyed canning vegetables, crocheting, visiting with friends, baby sitting a large contingent of kids and grandkids, and had a great fondness for card games. Although she was an excellent Rook and Poker player, the game of Euchre was her favorite by far. She was fondly dubbed the Euchre Queen due to her exceptional skill and expertise at the game. She won more than she lost.

Faithfulness and prayerfulness were the true hallmarks of Anna's life and legacy. She was a constant prayer warrior who was often asked to pray for special needs, urgent requests and troubled friends or loved ones. Her prayer list was long and well worn. A longtime parishioner of St. Joseph parish in Madison, TN, Anna belonged to the Legion of Mary and the Emmaus Prayer Group. She was seldom seen without a rosary in her hands or on her person and was an example of deep, tender faith and generosity to all who knew her.

She took great pride in having a large and beautiful family and as the Matriarch of such, sincerely treasured big holiday gatherings with those she loved with her fantastic cooking and specialty recipes such as dumplings and homemade fudge, often the center piece of many a family event. She was a gatherer of friends and strangers and was considered a second mom to hundreds of her adopted sons and daughters.

Visitation for Ms. Trainor will take place at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Madison at 5110 Gallatin Road. A Celebration of Life Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church on Gallatin Road, located next to the funeral home.

Pallbearers are grandsons and great grandsons, Jeremy Palmer, Zachary Miller, Aaron Palmer, Nathan Morgan, Jesse Whitley, Ellis Baltz, Hunter Allen, Gus Palmer and Jared Allen.
