Mr. Farley, aged 31 years, died last Friday in his home, 1026 Massasoit Ave. Chicago, IL., he had been ill about a week.
Services were conducted at the Maty Funeral Home in Chicago Monday afternoon. The body was brought to the Fay Funeral Home in Fulton Tuesday afternoon.
The Rev. Harry Harned of Clinton officiated at the Fulton Service, bringing a message of comfort through prayer and scripture passages, dwelling on particular on thoughts in connection with the Twenty-Third Psalm. Burial was in the family lot in Fulton Cemetery. Casket bearers were Verne Abbott and Arthur Enwright of Fulton, John Devers, Keith Kempter and Claude Briggs of Clinton.
Mr. Farley was born in Fulton July 8, 1914. He attended the Fulton schools through the Junior High. The family moved to Chicago in 1931 and William was graduated from the Austin High School there in the class of 1933.
At the time of his death he was employed as parts manager for the Parmalee Transportation Company of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, John, who died in infancy. Surviving are his mother, two brothers, Joel and Robert Farley; one sister, Mrs. Roger Shurtleff (Mildred), three nieces, and two nephews.
The family and several friends from Chicago were in Fulton for the services.
