Taylorville, Illinois. Monday April 6, 1926 - Mrs. Jerusha Ann Smith, widow of the late Austin Smith of Edinburg, died 10:30 Tuesday in the home of daughter, Mrs. Pearl Kelly. She had been Ill for 3 weeks when pneumonia developed. Mrs. Smith was born at Mt. Auburn October 30, 1860, the daughter of James William and Rebecca (Bowen) George. Married May 12, 1876. Three children, Edgar E., Willie F. and Clara Gideon preceded their mother in death. She was a member of the Christian Church of Edinburg. Surviving children are Harry W., of Hynes California; George H., Rochester, N.Y; Mrs. Iva Lefever, Louis A and Harlie E, all of Springfield. Mrs. Lavena Prater, Berry. Mrs Susie Yonker and Mrs. Pearl Kelly, both of Edinburg. Her brother Logan George of Edinburg and a sister Mrs. David White of Kansas; 14 grandchildren. Funeral will be at 2:30 at the Christian Church at Edinburg. Pastor Roy Miller asst. by John Augue, a family friend of Mt. Auburn.
