Nathaniel R. Abbuehl, 20, Barron, Wis., died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at his home.

He was born Sept. 19, 1986, at Bloomer, the son of Roger and Renee (Hanson) Abbuehl. He grew up in the Prairie Farm area and graduated from Prairie Farm High School.

He worked at Wal-Mart Distribution, Menomonie, and most recently at The Turkey Store, Barron.

Nathaniel enjoyed riding and training horses and bull riding. He loved to hunt with his dad and attend music festivals with his mom. He enjoyed his dog Buddy and liked playing pool and hanging out with his friends.

He was a member at United Lutheran Church, Prairie Farm.

Surviving are his father, Roger C. (Loretta) of Prairie Farm; his mother, Renee Metzgar of Burnsville, Minn.; paternal grandparents, Roger A. (Janette) Abbuehl of Prairie Farm and Darlene (Mike) Mikulanec of Holcombe; paternal great-grandparents, Everett and Berdean Curtis of Barron; maternal grandparents, Roger (Nancy) Hanson of Sun City, Ariz., and Judy Geissler of Chippewa Falls; maternal great-grandmothers, Mary Bowe of Chippewa Falls and Bernice Hanson of Almena; a sister, Candice Abbuehl of Chippewa Falls; stepsisters, Tina (Scott) Strehlo of Glenwood City and Lee (Aaron) Kraczek of Rice Lake; a stepbrother, Lloyd Olson of Prairie Farm; a well as aunts, uncles, cousins, two nephews, a niece and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Adolph and Alvia Abbuehl; great-grandfathers, Paul Bowe and Harold Hanson; and he was met at the gate by his uncle Jerry Marko.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7, from United Lutheran Church, Rev. Oz Twedt officiating, with burial at Sunset Cemetery, Township of Prairie Farm, Barron County.

Visitation was held 4-8 p.m. Friday from Rausch-Rockman Funeral Home, Barron, and an hour prior to services at the church Saturday. [Obtained 21 Apr 2007 from news-shield.com.]
