She was graduate of Erasmus Hall High School.
Like so many of her generation, Theresa joined the service during WWII, the US Navy. This act would inspire a younger cousin who made the Navy his career, as well as his children.
She married Raymond Wagner, also a WWII Vet-Army and high school boyfriend in 1948. Together they had a son and daughter, a house with a white picket fence and a dog.
Theresa was a kind hearted person, one who people reached out to for advice,or to just to talk. When people who knew Theresa describe her, the word is Nice.
She was the stay at home Mom who had the pitcher of Kool Aid ready for hers as well as the neighborhood kids. She would sit on the porch and chat with neighbors or play stoop ball with the kids.
She loved gardening and tended to front and back yards full of flowers, especially roses.
In 1970 Theresa was diagnosed with lung cancer and an inoperable brain tumor. After a long fight she died on Sept. 29, 1971.
She was survived by her parents, husband, children, sister, and many other loving relatives and friends.
