Eddie Wayne Crosby, 66, of Broken Arrow, Okla. went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, after fighting a brave battle with his illness.
Funeral services at Aspen Park Baptist Church in Broken Arrow with Rev. David Crump officiating. Interment at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow with Broken Arrow Police Honor Guard.
Mr. Crosby was born Dec. 30, 1940 in Olney, the son of Roy Edward Crosby and Estelletta Ruby Cooper Crosby.
He served in the United States Army. He joined the Broken Arrow Police Department in 1970 and retired from the department in June 1996.
He loved to play golf and coached girls softball for many years. He was a member of the Corvette Club of Tulsa and was a race-car driver in his younger days. He was also a member of the Elks Club in Broken Arrow.
He will be remembered by everyone who knew him as a devoted husband, father and grandfather and a friend to anyone in need.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Crosby of Broken Arrow; his children, Vanessa Wynne and her husband, Robert; Teala McKenzie and her husband, Mark and Katrina Doyal and her husband, Denny; his children's mother, Kathy Swayne; a brother, Randy Crosby; several grandchildren and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Crosby.
