June met the love of her life while waitressing at Olsen's Café in Seymour. On August 25, 1948 she was united in marriage to George W. Kemp at the Methodist Parsonage in Seymour. They celebrated 65 years of marriage. Together they raised their family in the Fox Valley area before building their retirement dream home in the northern woods of Kaukauna. June had many hobbies including: gardening, making cards and sending letters, talking with numerous friends on the phone, and spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. June, along with George and the family, enjoyed camping trips up north and visiting relatives and lifelong friends near and far.
June is survived by her five children: Kenneth (Judi), Beverly (Jim) Pynenberg, Glenn (Special Friend Vickie), Bonita "Bonnie" (Bruce) Bowers, and Sarah (Bryon) Petrie; eleven grandchildren: Chad (Brooke) Kemp, Jill (Greg) Unser, Neal (Laura) Pynenberg, Patrick (Belinda) Pynenberg, Dale (Stephanie) Pynenberg, Jason (R.J.) Kemp-Stevens, Heidi (Nels) VanDynHoven, Becky (Adam) Spoehr, Britainney (Lyle) Cleveland, Gabrielle Petrie, and Kayleigh Petrie and 13 great-grandchildren. June is further survived by three siblings: Harvey (Lorna) Tank, Shirley Weyland, and Leland (Nat) Tank, and her husband's family: Betty Retzlaff, Elaine Kemp, Audrey Kemp and numerous nieces and nephews.
June was preceded in death by her loving husband George in 2014; three brothers and 2 sisters-in-law: Larry, Elmer (Dorothy), and Carlton (Dorothy) Tank; and three sisters and 4 brothers-in-law: Lillian (Phil)Rollo, Caroline (Bill)Reno, and Elsie (Irvin) Reinke, and Daniel Weiland.
Funeral Services for June will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Lucretia Fehrmann officiating.
