Colonel (USA Ret.) Thomas Anthony Banasik, 63, born to Rhoda & Stephen Banasik, Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2018, in San Antonio, Texas after battling pancreatic cancer. A Military Veteran; Military Policeman; Deputy Inspector General, Joint Staff, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.; Army War College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania; Garrison Commander, Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania. Tom served with distinction, 30 years, in the United States Army. He was recently employed at Beshenich Muir & Associates. Tom was a Huge Minnesota Vikings Fan.

Tom is survived by his wife, Margaret M. Stewart, San Antonio, Texas.

He is survived by 2 Sons, Thomas J. Banasik, (Bethany), Aldie, Virginia; Daniel J. Banasik, (Corinne), Fayetteville, North Carolina; Daughter, Christina J. Barton, (Dave), Glen Allen, Virginia; Brother, Lawrence A. Banasik, Robbinsdale, Minnesota; Sister, Ann Hanson, (Tim), Mora, Minnesota; Grandchild, Emma Banasik, Aldie, Virginia; 2 Step-Sons, Patrick D. Stewart, (Jessica), Columbus, Mississippi; and Eric E. Stewart, San Antonio, Texas.

He is pre-deceased by his first wife, Darlene A. Banasik, Christiansburg, Virginia.
