Kenneth Earl Vance, 79, of Galesburg, died at 10:04 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at home.

He was born May 2, 1939, in Galesburg, the son of Lawrence Earl and Nellie Mary (Adcock) Vance. He married Edith Davis. She preceded him in death. He then married Doris Hull. She also preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters, Becky (Brian Utsinger) Vance and Amy Davis, both of Galesburg; a step son, Curtis (Susan) Carlson of Galesburg; nine grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, David Vance of Rockford; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Norma Lucas, Carol Vance, and Alice Osgood.

Kenneth worked for Lakis Ford in the detail shop for 23 years before retiring. He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, bulldogs, pugs, and spending time with his family camping at Lake Storey.

Cremation will be accorded. The family will host a celebration of life gathering from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 in the fellowship hall at Colonial Baptist Church, 1232 W. Fremont St. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses.
