He was born Nov. 8, 1929 in Plymouth to the late Henry and Bertha Lore Kline, and was a graduate of Harter High School Class of 1947.
William was employed as a construction worker for Evans Asphalt for approximately 50 years and was a member of International Operating Engineers Local 542.
He is presently survived by his loving wife, the former Diana Matesic, who he was married to for 68 years; sons, William, Sommerville, S.C., James, Honey Pot; daughter, Diana Penko, West Nanticoke; grandchildren, Candice Jones, Lucas Kline, Raymond Kline, Samantha Penko, Veronica Penko, and Nathaniel Penko; cousins James Hoover and Cathy Abbate and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, from the Grontkowski Funeral Home P.C. 51-53 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with the Rev. James Nash conducting services.
Interment will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, West Nanticoke.
