A very independent and strong-willed woman, Aleen was a hard worker and held various jobs throughout her lifetime. Her most notable position was working in the Central State Hospital dietary department where she retired after 25 years of service in 1965.
Aleen was a very generous lady who deeply loved her family. She enjoyed cooking big meals..and was a phenomenal cook. Aleen also adored her grandchildren and cherished them immensely. Her grandchildren remember her incredible kindness towards them, her unwavering support, magnificent sense of humor, and infectious laugh. Even on her death bed, Aleen was still cracking jokes and bringing smiles to faces.
Like all of us, Aleen had her faults...but the good she did in life far outweighed any of her shortcomings. She will be remembered as a one of a kind, friendly, personable, and cherished friend to all.
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOW! WHAT A RIDE!"~Hunter S. Thompson
