An infection in his eye caused on July 4, through the exploding of a fire-cracker caused the death yesterday of Harley Main, 34, will known Garrison mail carrier, who died in the Ohio Valley General Hospital at Wheeling at 4:45 o'clock.
Mr. Main was born in Deep Valley, a son of George and Sadie Coss Main and spent most of his life in Deep Valley and Freeport Township. For the past year he has lived in Garrison where he was a carrier on Garrison R. D. No. 1. He was also a partner in the Prendergast and Main General Store at Garrison.
Surviving are his widow, Myrtle Six Main; four children, Virginia Lee, Helen, Meredith, and Benny; and his parents.
