Mavis Annie Pierce Box, of Addison, entered into rest on Monday at the Folsom Center in Cullman.
Mavis attended West Point for her early schooling and went on to graduate from Addison High School in 1955. She was a longtime member of Nesmith Church.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at 2 pm at Nesmith Church, with a graveside committal prayer to follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mavis is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jerell Denton Box; son, Eric Box; sister, Velda Voyt; and sister in law, Frances Pierce.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Maudie Pierce, and brother, Levis "Bud" Pierce.
