Harry William Smith was born on July 4, 1905 in Sumner County, Tennessee, the son of James William Smith (ca 1871- ) and Viola Forest "Ola" (Craig) Smith (1882-1916).
A laborer living in Hendersonville, he was 23 years old, single and had typhoid fever when he died of the flu on January 18, 1929. Burial was the same day in Hendersonville Cemetery.
