OBITUARY

Ms. Diamond Dashawn Copeland of Tampa passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 16 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Blvd., with Reverend Dr. Samuel Maxwell, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Copeland a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, FL. She was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Tampa Bay Technical High School, Class of 2012 and furthered her education with Indiana State University.

Ms. Copeland formerly held employment with Moffitt Cancer Center, Hilton Garden Inn, and Aramark Food Service at Raymond James Stadium. Diamond actively participated in running 5K Events, and enjoyed bicycling, cooking, preparing vegan food dishes, and commercial art drawing.

She was preceded in death by her: Great Grandparents, James & Marie Powe, Rachel Philon and Georgia McQueen; uncles, James Curtis Powe and Steve Powe; and cousin, Meshel Philon. She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her: parents, Carl & Zekiya Oliver; biological father, Aaron Copeland, III; sister, Destiny Copeland; grandparents, Erma Philon, Grady Philon (Geraldine), Yvonne and Jackie Hearns, and Deloris & Aaron Copeland Sr.; uncles, Marquis Philon, Dwight Copeland (Shone), Steve Copeland (Tameka), Keith Copeland, Vernon Copeland (Hope), Aaron Copeland Jr., Steffan Hearns, Brandon Hearns, Leon Oliver and Mike Oliver; aunts, Cazandra Philon, Nekita Pryor (Marquis), Chametria “Mimi” Copeland, Tashara Johnson, Dynerial Oliver and Angela Henderson; a host of great aunts and uncles; cousins, Charles E. The remains will repose after 5 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
