Manitowoc - Shirley M. Eucke-Wimmer, 91, a lifelong resident of Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon, June 14, 2018 at Oak Park Place assisted living of Green Bay.

Shirley was born on April 1, 1927 in Manitowoc daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Fischer) Ballmann. She graduated with the class of 1945 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Shirley worked as a cosmetologist for Jane's Beauty Salon, Lords and Ladies, Eve's Hair Styling and Guys & Gals Beauty Salon. She also worked as a beautician for the Jens, Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Homes for many years. On September 18, 1948 she married Thomas M. Eucke in Manitowoc. On September 4, 1993 she married Markus M. Wimmer at First German Ev. Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Shirley was a member of First German Ev. Lutheran Church and a former member of the VFW Post# 6707 Ladies Auxiliary of Kiel. She enjoyed volunteer work at the Capitol Civic Centre, Wisconsin Maritime Museum, Manitowoc Visitor Center and volunteering as a carferry greeter. In the past she enjoyed golfing.

Ruth is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law: Dennis (Rose) Eucke, Milwaukee; Todd (Laurie) Eucke, Green Bay; one granddaughter: Ashley Eucke, Green Bay; one brother and sister-in-law: William (Carol) Ballmann, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents: Charles (Lillian) Ballmann; her two husbands: Thomas M. Eucke; Markus M. Wimmer; one sister and brother-in-law: LaVerne (John) Weber; and a special friend: Robert Kastner.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018 at First German Ev. Lutheran Church, 1033 South 8th Street, Manitowoc. Rev. Benjamin Schaefer will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday 12:00 noon until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to First German Ev. Lutheran Church or the Capitol Civic Centre. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
