James Grant Thompson 111, 79 of 2350 North Central Avenue in Kissimme, Fkorida passed away very earlyon Tuesday April 24, 2018 at the Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimme. He had suffered for a number of months from several serious medical issues. Mr. Thompson was born December 20, 1938 in Jackson Mississippi, the son of dermatologist Dr. James Grant Thompson 11 and Elizabeth Russell Thompson both of whom preceded him in death. He graduated high school from Columbia Military Academy in Columbus Tennessee in 1956. He earned an undergraduate degree in biology from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi and taught high school biology for a number of years on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Mr. Thompson later earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from The University of Mississippi after which he practiced lase at Long Beach and Carthage Mississippi and Burlington Vermont. He retired to Osceola County Florida in 2002 where he resided until his death. Mr. Thompson is survived by one brother Russell Douglas Thompson of Oceans Springs, Mississippi, three daughters Edith Elizabeth Thompson[Dana} Denson of Geneva, Florida. Ellen Douglas Thompson[Jeff] Beaty of La Mesa California and Elizabeth Eads Thompson of Barre, Vermont, One son James Grant Thompson1V of Orlando, Florida. Four grandchildren two great grandchildren. A private interment service will be held at the family plot in Edinburgh Leake County, Mississippi.
