Darryl G. Abbott, 48, of Buchanan, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2018.

Born to Alden and Cindy (Sholtz) Abbott on October 28, 1969, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

On November 27, 1991, he married the love of his life, Tina Abbott at a ceremony in New Mexico. Tina passed in a car accident on January 6, 2012.

Darryl enjoyed the outdoors, he loved to take the camper and head out with his family and if he wasn’t able to get away he looked forward to working in his yard. Even though Darryl endured great tragedy, he managed to find happiness in life. If Darryl were asked what made him the happiest, he always responded that it was time spent with his family.

Darryl was preceded in death by his wife Tina, and his daughter Samantha and a half-brother Martin Abbott.

Surviving Darryl are his children, Ashley Abbott of Moriarty, New Mexico, Sarah Abbott and Christopher Abbott both of Buchanan, and Mindy Jackson who was like a daughter to him. He is also survived by his parents, Alden and Cindy Abbott of Tennessee, and siblings Brian (Martha) Abbott of Spokane, Washington, Phillip Abbott and Eva Thurston both of Moriarty, New Mexico, and a half-brother, Stephen Abbott of Tennessee.

Services for Darryl will be Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Niles, Michigan, followed by an interment at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
