November 2, 1970:
"Edwin J. Anderson, 64, 351 Houk Street, died Sunday at Grand View Hospital where he had been a patient since October 21.
He was born March 22, 1906, in Ironwood and attended local schools. He worked as a section laborer for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 43 years up until his retirement June 30, 1970. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Ways Employees Union and a charter member of the Norrie Amateur Sports Club.
He is survived by one son, Ronald A. Anderson, Swartz Creek; two daughters, Mrs. A.L. Remondino, Ardmore, Okla., and Miss Mary Beth, Hartland, Wis.; two brothers, Arthur, Ironwood, and Martin, Verona, Wis.; three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Brown and Miss Emily Anderson, Ironwood, and Mrs. Mark Averill, Methow, Wash., and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 pm at McKevitt Kershner Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Nerenz of Salem Lutheran Church officiating."

"Funeral services for Edwin J. Anderson were held Wednesday at the McKevitt Kershner Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth L. Nerenz officiated. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Toivo Jalonen, Martin and Arthur Anderson, Donald, George and Arnold Brown.
Attending the funeral from out of town were Mrs. A.L. Remondino, Ardmore, Okla, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald A. Anderson, Swartz Creek; Mary Beth Anderson, Hartland, Wis; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Anderson, Mrs. Walter Zweifel, Mr. and Mrs. Reynold Anderson, Victor and Jackie, Verona, Wis; Mr. and Mrs. Warichak, West Allis; Mrs. Mark Averill, Methow, Wash; Arnold Brown, Minneapolis."
