Arlene was born May 11, 1929 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Andrew and Caroline (Mickoleski) Zywicke. She was united in marriage to Clayton D. Jaklin on May 25, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2010.
Arlene had two true loves in her life; her husband and her children. She took great pride in caring for family and home. She was also a member of the Ladies Society at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Arlene was fortunate enough to have spent 4 years living with her daughter Susan.
Survivors include her children: Susan L. Pieschel, Two Rivers; Gary Jaklin (special friend Kathy Keip), Manitowoc; James (Amy) Jaklin, Two Rivers; 7 grandchildren: Kristin Augustine (Joel), Christopher Pieschel, Erin Jaklin (fiancé Mitch Cornils), Erik Jaklin, Wendy Castagna (fiancé Dr. Dan Killian), David Jaklin and Scott Jaklin; four great grandchildren: Lyla & Jak Augustine and Mitchel & Amber Castagna; and a sister-in-law: Joann Linnsen, Denmark. Arlene is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law Bruce M. Pieschel, brothers and a sister.
Private Family Funeral services were held at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial was the Rev. Maurice Mmegbuadimma with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
