FITCHBURG - Elinor (Bush) Adams, 95, of 29 Merriam Parkway, died Tuesday night in Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home.
Her husband, Henry W. Adams, died in 1954. She leaves several nieces and nephews, including Elinor Blair of Keene, N.H., Merton Bush of Peterboro, N.H., and Ralph Bush of Pine Beach, N.J. She was born in Townsend, daughter of William and Abby (Wyeth) Bush, and lived in Townsend for many years before moving to Fitchburg 20 years ago. She attended Townsend High School and the former Stevens Business College in Fitchburg.
Mrs. Adams was a secretary at Children's Hospital in Boston for several years during the 1960s.
Private funeral services will be held Saturday in the Fitchburg Chapel of Sawyer-Miller Funeral Homes, 129 Elm St. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Townsend. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, 01701.
