Charles "Chuck" Cawthon, 85, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday July 6,2018 at the
Big Spring Vietnam Memorial.

He was born to Delmer and Louvada Cawthon, November 23,1932
in Brownfield,T exas.

Chuck married Patsy Owen December 31,1949, in Childress, Texas.

He served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years,
serving in Korea, Vietnam, Guam, and England.
After retiring from the Air Force he and Patsy owned and
operated Chuck's Surplus for 31 years in Big Spring, Tx.

Chuck enjoyed fishing and hunting. He enjoyed taking
anything that didn't work and fixing it so it would work.

He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Cheryl
Kight; two brothers, Billy D. Cawthon and Jerry W. Cawthon;
two sisters, Wanda Mitchell and Robilee Larson.

Arrangements were under the direction of Nalley-Pickle &
Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
