Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Joe H. Jarvis of Niceville, Fla., died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003.
A memorial service was held today at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home in Niceville. Interment, with full military honors, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Heritage Gardens Funeral Home is directing the arrangements.
He was a Vietnam veteran. As a navigator, he flew MAC aircraft, including the C-141 and C5A. He was also an assistant professor in the math department at the Air Force Academy.
In addition to his wife, Gail, he is survived by a daughter, Joleigh Jarvis; a son, Garret Jarvis; a brother, Richard B. Jarvis of Stillwater; and a sister, Judy Jarvis-Bodani of Oxnard, Calif
