Johnny W. Holloway, 77 of Arab passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Holloway was born February 28, 1941, the son of RA and Juanee Nunn Holloway. He was a Master Craftsman, a self employed machinist, welder. He contributed in the manufacturing of the Hubble Telescope, the Space Station and a multitude of other space and military systems. He held world records in IHRA Drag Racing and won a National Event. He could make or fix just about anything; he was the “Go To Man” as acknowledged by his family and friends. He also loved to hunt and fish and was an active member of New Covenant Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Denice and Lee Burdett of Arab; a son and daughter-in-law: Mark and Michelle Morrow of Arab; five grandchildren: Natasha (Nicholas) Pryde, Trey Burdett, Olivia Burdett, Clay Morrow and Caleigh Morrow.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Gober Funeral Chapel, Brother Glen Stewart, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Thomas, Billy Griffin, David Mason, Charlie Collins, David Mullican and Waylon King.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Gober Funeral Chapel.
