Johnstown, Mary 27. - Wesley Priest, 60, Johnstown night watchman and former town marshal, died Monday at 3:15 p.m. in his home here, following serveral months' illness.

He was born Jan. 20, 1887, in Jersey township, the son of George H. and Millie (Smith) Priest. During World War II he was employed at the U.S. Supply Depot in Columbus as a warehouse foreman.

Besides his widow, Mrs. Louise Priest, he leaves six sons, Floyd Priest of Chillicothe; Roy of Bucyrus; George of Columbus; Paul of Kingston; Harold, U. S. Army; Darrell Priest of the home; seven daughters, Mrs. Everett Ables of Hebron; Mrs. Leslie Budd of Westerville; Misses Betty, Dorothy, Janice, Jeanette and Esther Priest, all of the home; also nine grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Willis Foster of Johnstown; two brothers, Fred Priest of Detroit, Mich., and Ernest Priest of Newark; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Rowe, Mrs. Pearl Bell and Mrs. Josephine Buchanan, all of Newark.

Mr. Priest was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge of Johnstown.

The body will be returned to the home Wednesday from the Paul S. Emerson & Son funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Johnstown Methodist church conducted by Rev. Lawrence Kirk of Columbus. Burial will be made in Silent Home cemetery, Columbus.
