Cato - Alvin V. "Mousy" Mrozinski, age 89, a Cato resident, died on Monday afternoon, June 25, 2018 at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Alvin was born on October 9, 1928 in Manitowoc, son of the late Theodore "Ted" and Anastasia (De Cleene) Mrozinski. He attended St. Boniface School and Manitowoc Vocational School, where he learned the welding trade. Alvin was then employed at L.D. Smith Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay and Manitowoc Shipbuilding until he was drafted in the U.S. Army from 1952 until 1955. He then moved to Delta Jet, Alaska. On April 25, 1959 he married the former Betty O'Leske in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on July 28, 2010. After the couple married, they returned to Alaska where the homesteaded a 126 acre farm, and Alvin worked construction as a heavy equipment operator, welder and mechanic. They returned to Wisconsin in 1968, where Alvin was a part time farmer in the Town of Cato, and a Certified Welder at Manitowoc Shipbuilding, and later for Mike Wallander and Lorrigan Construction until his retirement in 1994. Alvin was also well known as a long time bartender at Club Bil-Mar. He enjoyed gardening, and his cottage at Long Lake (Forest City), where he especially enjoyed deer hunting with his sons, their friends, and family.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law: Daryl & Marcia Mrozinski, Cato, and Dale Mrozinski, Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Eric, Amanda (Josh) and Marinna; three great grandchildren; and one brother: Curtis (Jane) Mrozinski, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by one infant son; an infant daughter; one son: Donald Mrozinski; one sister: Geneva Stubbe; and many in-laws.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Drews Bleser Post #88.
