Samantha Michelle Dykes Carroll, 53, of Arlington, TN, passed away in her sleep early Wednesday morning, June 27, 2018, from an apparent heart attack. Samantha and her husband, Britt, had just celebrated 25 years of marriage the day before she went to be with her Lord and Savior. She is survived by her three sons, Chase Cooper (Anna), James Logan (Hannah), Glyndon Boyd and daughter, Amy Grace. She was preceded in death by her father, Don Dykes, and leaves her mother, Helen Dykes; brother, Donnie Dykes (Karen), along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Samantha graduated from Bartlett High School in 1983, attended Memphis State University, where she was a varsity cheerleader. She was also a Memphis ShowBoats cheerleader and a UCA Cheer instructor. Samantha was a devoted mother and continued making a career of raising children by taking care of friends' infants and children for the last 25 years.
Samantha made everyday count. She loved celebrating with her family and friends. She always found a way to incorporate a new dance number anytime music was played, going around the room pulling others up to dance with her. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She will be remembered for always putting others needs first, especially the needs of her four children. She loved her family to the fullest.
Services will be held Saturday morning, June 30 at Ellendale Baptist Church, 3861 Broadway Road, Bartlett, TN 38135. Visitation at 9:30 a.m. and the memorial service at 10:30 a.m. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering after the services at the home of Helen Dykes, Samantha's mother, 540 Drivers Road, Mason, TN 38049.
