Janis Vernon Ashley, 81, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018.
He was born in Eubank, Kentucky on January 10, 1937, son of the late Luther and Geneva Francis Howson Ashley. He was a machinist with the Ohio Knife Company for more than 20 years and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed gardening and working on cars after his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Phillipe Ashley, two sons, Gregory Lee & (Sue) Ashley and John Scott & (Melissa) Ashley, one daughter, Sherry Ann & (James) Vogel, three brothers, Dallas & (Wanda) Ashley, Lester & (Paulette) Ashley and Jr. Clay Ashley, six grandchildren, Jacob Vogel, Dakota Ashley, Courtney Ashley, Waylon Ashley, Shelby Ashley and Devon Ashley.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Holt officiating.
Burial will be in Salyers Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10 AM Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
