Sir Francis Masham, third baronet of Oates, Essex, whom she married in 1685, was a widower with nine children. HIs youngest son was Lord Masham, husband of Abigail Masham. in 1686, Francis Cudworth Masham was born, their only child (subsequently accountant-general to the court of chancery).
