Kathleen F. (Evanio) Greenawalt, 58, of Amity Township, Berks County, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. She was born Sept. 1, 1947 in Pittsburgh, and lived in the Superior section of West Deer and then Aspinwall for five years before moving to Berks County in 1965, where she lived for 40 years.

A homemaker, Mrs. Greenawalt was a member of the fire police for Monocacy VFD, Amity, Amity Township Crime Watch, Amity Township Parks and Recreation Board and also was a volunteer at Berks County Heritage Historical Center. Kathleen was elected as the first woman supervisor for Amity Township where she served from 1997 to 2003.

Survivors include her loving husband of 40 years, Alfred H. Greenawalt III; a son, Allen David,Greenawalt and wife Nancy Ann ( Smith ) of Mohnton; and a sister, Bonnie Mazurek of Worthington. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Stanley and Anna Elizabeth (Karan) Evanio; an infant brother, Stanley Evanio; and a sister, Joann Mazurek.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where a blessing service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. Burial will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township.
