Edwin F. Wachholz, age 73, of Manitowoc, died Sunday, May 28, 2006, at Aurora Bay-Care Medical Center, Green Bay.
Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2006, at the Reinhold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville. The Rev. Paul Paider officiated.
Edwin was born Sept. 12, 1932, in Francis Creek, son of the late Edwin Sr. and Viola Hassemer Wachholz. On Nov. 17, 1956, he married the former Rose Prucca at St. Emeric's Catholic Church in Milwaukee. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Francis Creek.
Survivors include his wife: Rose, Manitowoc; four children and their spouses: Lynn and Randy Gessert, Mishicot; Darold and Carol Wachholz, Mishicot: Jim and Debbie Wachholz, Two Rivers; Joy and Lloyd Recore, Two Rivers; eight grandchildren: Michael Wachholz and Jill Wachholz, Mishicot; Cory Gessert and Craig Gessert, Mishicot; Brian Wachholz and Adam Wachholz, Two Rivers; Ashley Recore and Amanda Recore, Two Rivers; one brother and sister-in-law: Russell and Vera Wachholz, Manitowoc; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Jean and Norbert Ronk, Green Bay; Mary and Frank Beesten, Kewaskum. Other relatives and friends also survive. Edwin as preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Maynard Wachholz; a twin sister: Violet Wachholz.
