Mr. Forney McHarlen Arnett, 94, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018.

He was born December 20, 1923 in Calhoun County, Alabama the son of the late Mr. George Robert Arnett and the late Mrs. Etta Snyder Arnett.

He married Mary Evelyn Bonds on April 9, 1946 in White Plains, Alabama.

He retired from the Maintenance Department of the Cobb County Board of Education. He was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed playing checkers, going to Flea Markets, and watching Westerns and the Atlanta Braves.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Mary Evelyn Bonds Arnett; brothers, Ed Arnett and Henry Arnett; and sisters, Vernie Snider, Vera Smith, Viola Hudgins, and Virginia Clay.

He is survived by two daughters, Mary Angela and Phil Whiteside of Lithia Springs; and Sherry and David Cofield of Panama City Beach, FL; extended generations.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 11:30 AM until 12:00 PM. Graveside Services will follow at 12:30 PM at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville.
