Julie Nora Conners. 1912 - 1972

I assume that since she is buried in the James A. Conners plot, Section 4, Lot #156, of the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal, Marion County, Missouri, that she is the daughter of James A. and Luella "Ella" Baker Conners. Her grave marker identifies her as Julia N. Conner and simply states her date of birth as 1912 and her date of death as 1972. I have obtained a copy of their marriage license, which states that she was married to John August Robertson on February 13, 1926, in Hannibal, Missouri. Julia would have only been but 14 years of age, while John A. Robertson would have been 28. The fact that they were married, is also stated in John August Robertson's obituary and that she had preceded him in death. It is evident by the 1880 census of Marion County, Missouri, on which her grandfather Thomas Conners and family are enumerated as residing in Hannibal, that Julie Conner Robertson was named for her grandmother Juliet Clarkson Conners, the wife of Thomas Conners. There are two burial plots next to her grave marker but have no stones. This is supposedly the Lot where her father-in-law James T. Robertson and her biological father James A. Conner are also buried.
