Wanda L. Mitchell, a resident of Detroit, passed from this life on June 30, 2018, at the age of 67.
Wanda was the beloved wife of the late Larry, loving mother of Larry, Steven (Joann), and Melissa. She was the cherished grandmother of Marisa, Steven Jr., Devin, Willow, Nicholas, Andrea, Kyra, Zac and Ricky. She was the very dear aunt of many nieces and nephews
Wanda was the dear sister of Burl (Karen) Dotson, Juanita Ostrander, Estill Dotson, Joseph (Donna) Dotson, Lucinda (David) Sudduth, Angellia Harris, Trula Dotson, Kathy Bunyak, the late Donna Raye Dotson and the late John Frank Dotson, Jr.
Wanda enjoyed vacationing with family, attending media conventions, meeting celebrities, and going to the casino. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed dramas and murder mysteries. She was a "Peanuts" fan and collected all things Charlie Brown.
Wanda will be resting at the L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, 7707 Middlebelt Rd. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be Friday, July 6, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from the Griffin Chapel.
