ORENSEN, BARBARA PARKER, 83, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2016 at Lincoln Hills Healthcare Facility in New Albany. She was born in Laurel, Iowa and moved with her family to Athelstane, Wisconsin. Barbara graduated from the Bellin Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She married Kenneth Sorensen, and had two daughters, Lori and Karen. They moved to New Albany, where Barbara worked as a registered nurse for forty years. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Sorensen, and her daughter, Karen Sorensen. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Sorensen of New Albany. Barbara was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Jeffersonville. Kraft-Graceland Funeral Service will handle arrangements, and a private memorial service is planned.
