Born in Lincoln,Nebraska,to Thelma Davey, a 16 year old(1912-1942). She was 3 pounds, a survivor.
Adopted by George Valentine and Huldah Mary(Gates)White, they moved the baby girl across country.
Raised in Norco, California, an only child, she attended Norco and Corona schools, to 10th grade at Poly High, Riverside. She grew up knowing she wanted more than one child, and loved her 3 children, and any neighbor child that was still there at dinner time. She didn't work out of the home, but worked hard cleaning and cooking. All she wanted was to make her family happy.
She married Donald LeClaire September 15,1946, and a few hours later boarded a train to New York with her new husband. They lived in the Syracuse area for 3 years. Returning to California with a baby daughter of 2 months towing a mobile home. They then lived on the property of George and Huldah's in Norco. 3 years later Donnie was born. Don had a job at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino, 2 chidlren and now lived in Bloomington, where they spent the rest of her life.
All her kids had grown up and left home before she developed other interests. D.A.V. 87 in Fontana where Dad became Commander and treasurer, and always there was music. She stayed busy till she developed cancer. Died age 49.
