Rebecca Flowers was born in Pennsylvania, and is believed to be the daughter of S. Richard Flowers and Leanah Bennet. On 17 May 1827 she married Peter P. Morgan in Springfield Township, Muskingum County, Ohio. There they raised their children: Elizabeth Ann Morgan (1828-1914), Alvah / Alvary Oliver Morgan (1829-1903), Mary Narcissus Morgan (1831-1887), Theodore Morgan (1833-1835), James Alexander Morgan (1836-1913), Martha Morgan (1838-1920), Isaac Watson Morgan (1839-1913), Sarah Jane Morgan (1841-1915), Reuben Henry Morgan (1844-?), Calvin Peter Morgan (1846-1919), Luther Draper Morgan (1848-1912), Lanah (or Leanah) Morgan (1850-after 1919), Franklin Pierce Morgan (1852-?), and possibly a child, Hannah (1853-?).

In 1880 Rebecca and Peter came to Kansas, settling in the Burmingame area, in order to be closer to their children who had already moved to Kansas: Alvah, James, Calvin, Luther. and Franklin, some of whom are also buried in this cemetery.
