He married Mahala/Mahalie Jane White (buried at this cem.); they had the following children: Martin b. 1868, Thomas Lee (1869-1951), James William (1871-1952); Mary Ellen (1875-1958); Annie B. b. 1875, Wesley Allen (1878-1977); Jefferson Marion (buried at this cem.), Newman Lester (1888-1932), and Mahala Jane (buried at this cem.).

Occupation: Farmer. He & Mahala lived in Opposition near Ravenden in Lawerence Co., AR, and both died on a farm near Hoxie and Walnut Ridge in the home of their grandson John Henry Hathcoat.
