GOETHE, PETER "PETE" D., 75 Ocala - Peter "Pete" D. Goethe, 75, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2007 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. Born in Parris Island, SC, Mr. Goethe moved from Varnville, SC to Ocala in 1938. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church. He worked as a Lumberman for Ocala Lumber Sales. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia "Pat" Goethe of Ocala; 3 sons, James Goethe of Tampa, Peter Goethe of Ocala, Jonathan Goethe of Ocala; and 5 grandchildren, James Goethe, Ashley Goethe, Austin Miller, Seth Miller, and Janessa Goethe. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, April 29, 2007 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 3453 E Silver Springs Blvd with Pastor Anna Figueiro officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church in the name of Peter D. Goethe. Hiers Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
